The Studer Community Institute hosted the annual EntreCon Awards, celebrating the achievements of Pensacola area businesses and their far-reaching impact. Awards ranged from recognizing startups to large corporations, all essential drivers of economic development and community growth.
Starpoint Screening was awarded Female-Owned Business of the Year, an award that recognizes a women-owned small business that has attained outstanding business achievement while showing social responsibility, creativity, and leadership; all to improve and grow the community.
“It’s a tremendous honor,” said Kelly Gontarski, Owner and CEO of Starpoint Screening. “This hard-working group of women have built a technology-based applicant screening company from the ground up that competes on a national level with the big players. It’s wonderful to be recognized by our local community for the economic, leadership and social contributions we make to our home town. I hope women in our community are inspired by these awards to believe in themselves.”
The EntreCon Awards and Conference was created in 2015 by the Studer Community Institute, a nonprofit on a mission is to improve the quality of life for all people in the diverse communities they serve.
